In 1963, Albert Steffen, the renowned Swiss poet, philosopher and president of the General Anthroposophical Society, with its centre at the Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland, appointed Herbert Witzenmann to the executive council of that society.
The literary and philosophical works of Herbert Witzenmann comprise over one hundred publications. Enriched by his wide experience in industry, the humanities and philosophy, his many present activities include an attempt to chart inner and outer direction for the striving youth of our time.
